Do you Travel?

Yes! My session fee includes travel within 20 miles of Brookings, SD. For locations outside of that range, a travel fee of $0.63 per mile will be added for the additional mileage. Any location-specific costs, such as parking, entrance fees, or rental fees, are not included in the session fee.

What happens if the weather is bad?

I keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather truly won’t work for the type of photos we’re planning, we’ll talk through rescheduling options.

Where will we take our photos?

If you already have a specific location in mind, we can absolutely talk through it and see if it’s a good fit for your session.

If you’re not sure where you want photos taken, just let me know in your inquiry. I’m happy to suggest location options based on the type of session, the look you’re hoping for, and the overall feel you want your photos to have.

Please note: I do not own a studio. Any studio images you see in my portfolio were taken in rented studio spaces. If you’re interested in a studio session, I’m happy to help coordinate that option, and the studio rental cost would be added to your session total.

How do we get our photos?

Your final edited images will be delivered through an online gallery. From there, you can download your high-resolution images for personal use.

Do you retouch photos?

Yes, final images receive detailed editing, including color, skin tones, and small distractions when needed. My goal is to keep you looking like you while making the final images feel polished and true to my editing style.

Whats your turn around time?

Proofing galleries are typically delivered within 2 weeks of your session. After you select your favorite images from the proofing gallery, I’ll begin final edits and aim to deliver your completed gallery within 3 weeks. Timelines may vary slightly during busy seasons.

How many photos do we get?

Each session includes a set number of final edited images. You can find the exact number included by viewing the details of each individual session type.

After your session, I’ll send over a proofing gallery where you can look through the images and choose your favorites. If you’d like more than what’s included, additional images may be purchased individually, or you can upgrade to the full gallery if you don’t want to narrow it down.

Do you have a studio?

I do not have a studio of my own, but indoor studio sessions may be available through rented studio spaces.

If you’re interested in a studio session, reach out and I’d be happy to share a few studio options I’ve photographed at before, along with their rental costs. Any studio rental fee would be added to your session total.

Do you offer payment plans?

A retainer is required to officially reserve your session date, and the remaining balance is due before or on the day of your session.

Can we have the RAW or unedited images?

No, I do not deliver RAW or unedited images. Unedited images are unfinished files and do not reflect the quality, consistency, or finished look I want my clients to receive. Only final edited images are delivered.
RAW files are unfinished images, so I only deliver final edited photos that reflect the full care, quality, and finished look of my work.

How do we book you?

Start by sending an inquiry with the session type you’re interested in and a few dates that work for you. I’ll check my availability and follow up with next steps. Your session is officially reserved once your booking link is completed and your retainer is paid.
